Harold Andrews
Lawton- Harold E. Andrews passed away on November 18, 2009 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was born May 30, 1931 to Spurgeon and Armittia Andrews in Texarkana, Texas.
Harold attended public school in Texarkana, Texas. After high school he joined the Army during the Korean War Era. After leaving the Army he worked at Bowing Aircraft in Las Angeles and Wichita, Kansas, Holliday Inn, Fort Sill and Reynolds Army Hospital Dining Facility, and retired from the Fort Sill National Bank. He was a Mason, he a member of the Greater Friendship Burial Association.
At an early age, he united with Christ at St Paul United Methodist Church, Texarkana, Texas.
During his lifetime, there were two marriages, and unto these unions ten children were born. He wedded Ola Faye Webster on January 23, 1956 until his death, and to that union was Herman Stevenson, Lawton, Oklahoma, Carol Ferguson, Lawton, Oklahoma, Rikkita Hughes (Keith), San Antonio, Texas, Charlotte Herod (Johnnie), Dallas, Texas, Darryl Andrews, Lawton, Oklahoma.
Sarah Dillahunty of Idabel, Oklahoma with this union was Belinda Cooley (Henry), Texarkana, Texas, Theresa Hicks Andrews, Idabel, Oklahoma, Harold Andrews Jr., (Marinda), Idabel, Oklahoma,
He is survived by his three sisters, Louise Neal (Leo), Pomona, California, Verna Morgan, Pomona, California, twin brother Gerald Andrews, Pomona, California, and Wilma Turner (Clarance), Queen City, Texas.
He had 29 grandchildren, 69 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Also survived by four special friends, Robert Lewis Stevenson, Jerry Wooten, Anthony Smith and William Lee, Charlotte, Perkins, Lawton, Oklahoma
He was preceded in death by his parents, Spurgeon and Armittia Andrews, son Antonio G. Andrews, daughter Ivy Lynne Andrews and son-in-law, Willie J. Ferguson, Jr.
